Steve Rogers lived during the Great Depression. After seeing the Nazi’s despicable acts, Rogers decided to join the fight. But Rogers, being small and scrawny, was unable to pass his physical. Rogers was given a second opportunity when Professor Erskine asked him to be a test subject for his Super Soldier Serum. Rogers agreed and became the first human guinea pig for the test. The serum took Rogers’ frail body and transformed it into a perfect human weapon. He then became the American hero known as Captain America. Cap, along with his close friend Bucky, fought against the Nazis and the evil Red Skull. One fateful day, Cap and Bucky tried to stop Baron Zemo from launching an explosive drone. The explosion’s blast sent Cap and Bucky flying into icy waters. The Soviets found Bucky’s body while a Nazi leader found Cap’s body. Captain America escaped, but not before the Nazis shot his plane down over the Atlantic Ocean. Amazingly, Steve Rogers survived in a frozen state at the bottom of the ocean. Many years later the Avengers found Rogers’ body and successfully reawakened Captain America.
