5. Independence Day: Resurgence (June 22) – The original Independence Day was extraordinary and we hope this reboot will not disappoint. With Liam Hemsworth taking the lead role and Jeff Goldblum reprising his character, this film is set to be a box office hit. Watch the trailer here and tell us what you think.

4. Warcraft  (June 10) – Movies based on video games have yet to be successful, but Warcraft may break this stereotypical trend. The graphics look decent and the plot is action-packed. Check out the trailer here and let us know what you think.

3. Free State of Jones (June 24) – This movie is set in Civil War times and is based on a true story. A farmer from Mississippi sets up his own state along with other rebels. Free State of Jones looks like an interesting drama. Click on the link and watch the trailer now!

2. Star Trek: Beyond (July 22) – Star Trek: Beyond will reintroduce Chris Pine as Captain Kirk along with others. Idris Elba will be playing Krall. We hope this film will be another great adaptation of the Star Trek saga. Tell us what you think of the newest Star Trek movie!

Suicide Squad (August 5) – Suicide Squad features Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Croc and others in this comic book based film. Ben Afleck will be reprising his role as Batman, and Jared Leto will give us a new interpretation of the Joker. How do you think this film will stack up against others in its genre?

  1. I’d agree with ‘Ghostbusters’ being on my list too! I know a lot of people aren’t too excited for it and there’s been A LOT of hate online. But I think it’ll be a lot of fun. Plus, with Harold Ramis gone, this is the only way to go forward. I’m looking forward to the new take on one of my favorite films of all time

    Also, I am SO hopeful for ‘Suicide Squad.’ I was excited to see it on the top of your list! I haven’t loved (or even liked) any of the DCEU yet, but I’m really hoping this will be the one that can change my mind.


  2. I honestly think Ghostbusters is going to be terrible. Warcraft is already in troubled critical waters. But Suicide Squad looks awesome. Being a huge DC geek, I can’t wait for this one. I guess Finding Dory looks cool too. Nice post!
